Hi, my name is Marc Van den Berghen

I'm 41 years old (in 2007 <g>), have 2 children, Niklas (9) and Julia(11) and a wonderful wife ( she is a teacher for mathematics and biology). I live in the German city of Aachen and work in Belgium (8 kilometers away). 

My hobbies are : volleyball, comics (with a special interest in everything related to the Spiderman series), SF and of course dbase. 

Since the early 1990's I use dBase (in all its variations) mainly for my own purpose. Since January 2004, I offer on my Webpage a couple of custom-components for dBase, some for free, others at a low cost. The feedback of the clients (all fellow programmers) is GREAT! One immediately suggested a lot of enhancements, another one helped me in debugging and a third one came up with some very interesting new ideas. It is a real pleasure to write code in such circumstances and I will continue in this direction to earn a part of my living (beside that, i have a part-time job in a garage). Writing add-ons, custom classes or other special purpose code for dbase colleagues (activex objects) is some of the most interesting work I can imagine!
