DropTarget  (latest version 11-01-08)

What :  Many applications can be used as drop target for files coming from the Windows Explorer or other sources. dBase is able to play the role of such a drop target, but the user interface is not following Windows standards : f.i. if you want to paste a file with the CTRL+V shortcut, dbase ignores it. Outlook is another example where drag and drop of attached files is not possible with dbase (this time, it is not the fault of dbase, but the fact, that attachments don't exist as files as long as they are not explicitly stored somewhere).

The new DropTarget-Control solves these issues! It works like a container that accepts all files from the Explorer and also attachments from Outlook, using the full user interface that is : drag and drop, CTRL+C/CTRL+V or the right mouse button

Usage:

see the demoform : it is enough to put the ocx on a form and each time, something is dropped or pasted to it, a leftmouseup event is fired and you can react appropriatly
